Zielony Las is a large forest complex adjoining Żary in the Lubusz voivodeship, managed by the Lipinki Forest District. Its distinctive feature is the concentration of landforms: within a small area there are hills, valleys, ravines and gorges, boggy meadows, small lakes and ponds.
The best known landmarks are three towers — of stone, brick and steel — scattered in different parts of the forest and forming natural destinations for a walk. They are complemented by nature education trails with boards describing both the wildlife of the complex and curiosities from local history.
A dense network of forest roads and tracks makes Zielony Las suitable for a long hike, running or a bike ride; covering the more interesting sections takes about two hours. In the northern part there is a bathing area and a spring, and the proximity of the town makes access easy. Entry to the forest is free.
