The municipal park in Nisko lies on Sandomierska Street, in the middle of this county town in the northern part of the Subcarpathian region. It grew out of the garden grounds of the Ressequier family, owners of the local palace, and has kept the old layout of paths and its mature trees. Today it is the most popular place for a walk in Nisko.
A nature and education trail runs through the park, with boards describing trees, birds and insects and with spots arranged for observation. Along the paths stand themed posts with quizzes, insect hotels, nesting boxes for bumblebees and bird boxes — looking for their inhabitants keeps children busy for a good while.
The paths are well kept and comfortable for pushchairs, lined with benches and bicycle racks. Parking spaces for park visitors are marked out close to the entrance. Nisko lies in the Sandomierz Basin between Stalowa Wola and Rzeszów and makes a convenient break on the route.
