Park Sołacki lies in the villa district of Sołacz in Poznań, not far from the city centre. It covers 14.63 ha designed in the English landscape style, with broad glades, loose groups of trees and gently curving alleys. The Sołackie Ponds form the axis of the layout and draw most of the walking traffic.
Some three thousand trees and twelve thousand shrubs grow in the park, including exotic species planted for their colour. The greenery around the ponds favours water birds, and among the rarities the ant Temnothorax corticalis has been recorded here. The old trees above the water create the park's most characteristic views.
Notable features include the historic parachute tower and the wooden tram shelter from 1913, known as the “Green Booth”. For families there is a playground and a meadow with play equipment, while comfortable walking and cycling paths let you link the park with further sightseeing in Jeżyce.
