Park Nadodrzański lies in Brzeg in the Opole Voivodeship, between the Oder and the Castle of the Silesian Piasts. It was laid out on the site of the former moat and town ramparts, so the course of its paths is still shaped by the remains of the fortifications. The entrance leads straight from Castle Square, a few minutes' walk from Brzeg's old town.
The most interesting monument on the grounds is the Oder Gate, a remnant of the old defensive system, with a clearly readable stretch of rampart beside it. The paths run among old trees towards the Oder embankment. The area forms part of a Natura 2000 site in the river valley, which makes bird watching from the benches along the paths rewarding.
Brzeg lies roughly halfway between Wrocław and Opole and makes a good stop along the way. From the park it is a short walk to the Castle of the Silesian Piasts with its Renaissance courtyard, the market square with the town hall, and the neighbouring Central and Chrobry parks that form a belt of greenery around the centre.
