Park im. Miasta Roth, also called the swan park, lies almost in the very centre of Racibórz in Upper Silesia, in the Nowe Zagrody district. Entrances lead in from Opawska, Bema and Kochanowskiego streets. The name commemorates Racibórz's twin town, and the grounds, about one hectare in size, were laid out on the site of a former Catholic and Protestant cemetery.
The park centres on a picturesque pond and fountains, ringed by comfortable walking paths. Four trees here are protected as natural monuments. A historic former public convenience building draws the eye — it doubles as a viewing terrace. The remains of a monument to those who fell in the First World War have also survived in the park.
A good stop for a short break while sightseeing in Racibórz — half an hour is enough to walk the whole park. There is a playground for children, the level paths make it easy to move with a pram, and dogs are allowed.
