A musical accent in the Kudowa spa

The Music Garden lies within the Spa Park in the centre of Kudowa-Zdrój, a health resort at the foot of the Stołowe Mountains in Lower Silesia. The park was laid out in the style of a classic English garden, with freely winding paths and mature trees, and the music garden is one of its most recognisable parts.

What to see

Metal sculptures depicting instruments — a violin, a harp and a piano — stand among the greenery in enlarged, decorative form. Surrounded by lush vegetation, they make a much-photographed setting that children enjoy. Right next to it stands the concert shell, around which the resort's summer cultural life is concentrated, including the Moniuszko Festival.

Good to know

The park is named after scoutmaster Władysław Skoraczewski, founder and first artistic director of the festival. The garden itself takes a few dozen minutes to see, but the whole park is worth a walk — it adjoins the pump room and the promenade, and the trails of the Stołowe Mountains are close by.
