A waterside park on the edge of Częstochowa

Park Lisiniec, also called Lisiniecki, is the largest recreation area in the Lisiniec district of Częstochowa. It covers about 41 hectares, 11 of which are taken up by three lakes with playful names: Adriatyk, Bałtyk and Pacyfik. The reservoirs appeared in the 1970s when former clay pits were flooded.

What to see

By the water there is a bathing area and a lifeguard marina where watersports enthusiasts can hire kayaks and other craft. Walking and cycling paths, jetties and a footbridge over the canal ring the grounds and invite you to circle all three lakes. Among the plantings — over a hundred trees and numerous shrubs — the Japanese cherry stands out, at its finest in blossom season.

Who it suits

This is a place for families and active visitors: there is a playground, a rope park, a skatepark and a tennis court. In summer the park serves as the city beach, while off season it is mainly used for walks and bike rides around the water.
