ul. Wiosny Ludów, Radlin
The Silesian Insurgents Forest Park covers more than three hectares in Radlin, in the Wodzisław district. Formally it is woodland managed by the State Forests rather than a classic municipal park – hence the natural, only lightly tended character of the tree stand combined with recreational facilities.
Inside the park there are football and basketball pitches and a recreation complex with benches and shelters. For the youngest visitors there is the Little Cyclist track, where children learn traffic rules. A separate attraction is the botanical and dendrological trail with information boards describing species such as silver birch, pedunculate oak, common beech and other trees growing here.
Walking, cycling and pilgrimage routes cross the grounds, which makes the park a starting point for longer trips around the Rybnik Coal Basin. Admission is free, the main paths suit pushchairs, and dogs are allowed on a lead. Allow about an hour for an unhurried loop with a rest.
