Leszno's showpiece

Millennium Park lies in the south-eastern part of Leszno and is one of the most popular green areas in the city. It combines recreation with education: broad lawns and stands of trees alternate with playgrounds, trails and resting spots. About an hour is enough for a calm loop, though families with children usually stay longer.

What to see

The main attraction is a mini zoo with ornamental birds and selected farm animal species. Next to it operates the „Tarzan” rope park with three courses of varying difficulty, while the playground is dominated by a large wooden ship. An educational trail runs through the park, made up of 36 boards describing the life cycles of plants, fungi and animals as well as the tracks of forest dwellers.

Who it suits

The park is aimed above all at families and school groups — the boards are often used for outdoor lessons. The paths are surfaced and comfortable for prams, entry to the park is free and dogs are allowed on a lead. Paid attractions such as the rope park operate seasonally.
