A park on the Rega

The City Park in Gryfice stretches along the Rega, which flows through the grounds and gives the whole layout its character. It is one of the most visited places in town, both for residents and for travellers heading towards the coast. The tree stand is mixed and mostly scattered, but along the main routes the old lime, ash and poplar avenues have survived.

What to see

The most interesting corner is the Japanese garden with wooden bridges, a stream and a red gazebo. There is also a pond with an island, popular with anglers, as are the banks of the Rega. A canoe landing operates by the river and trips set off from there — the most comfortable way to see the Rega from the water.

Who it suits

The park works well for a short walk or a longer stop with children: there is a well-equipped playground and plenty of benches. The ground stays flat and accessible for prams, dogs are allowed on a lead and admission is free. Canoe trips run seasonally.
