ul. Parkowa, Rybnik
Park Kozie Góry is the largest and oldest landscaped green area in Rybnik, covering some 6.8 hectares on Parkowa Street. It owes its existence to a donation from Juliusz Hasse, owner of a local leather factory, who handed the land over to the town after a fatal accident at his works. A commemorative boulder marks the centenary of the park's foundation.
The northern part is distinctly active: there is an amphitheatre, a basketball court, table-tennis tables, an outdoor gym and a fitness trail. Next to the Hajda restaurant you will find a playground and parking spaces. For those seeking quiet there are benches and a barbecue spot; a fountain also stands here, currently out of use after damage.
The southern part of the park is purely for strolling — no benches or recreational equipment were installed there, but shaded alleys lead through mature trees. Admission is free and the park stays open all year round.
