Fun and learning under one roof

Bajka Pana Kleksa is an educational play centre for children in Katowice, set up on Porcelanowa Street in the city's post-industrial district. The interiors are enclosed and open all year, so the venue works in any weather. The scenery refers to characters from the stories of Jan Brzechwa.

The magic rooms

The space is divided into themed rooms: the Last Nature Reserve, the Land of Mateusz the Starling, Bajdocja and Planet Fantasy. Visitors help the title character track down lost objects. The puzzles are solved on the move, walking between colourful sets inhabited by fictional creatures, and the level of difficulty is matched to the age of the group.

Who it is for

The centre runs sessions for nurseries and schools, birthday parties, holiday day camps and workshops during the school year: culinary, space-themed and nature-themed. Organised groups need to book in advance, while an individual visit is worth planning for about an hour. The events calendar is published on the centre's website.
