The Kaszubski Park Etnograficzny lies in Wdzydze on Lake Gołuń, in the heart of Kashubia in the Pomeranian Voivodeship. On 22 hectares it gathers more than fifty examples of the folk architecture of Kashubia and Kociewie from the 17th to the 20th century: cottages, manor houses, churches, windmills, workshops and farm buildings.
The interiors have been furnished as the farmsteads once were, so the difference between a fisherman's cottage, a farmer's homestead and a manor is clearly visible. Demonstrations show how old farm implements and craft workshops worked. The museum can be visited independently, with an audio guide or with a member of staff.
The large, tree-shaded grounds work well for a visit with children — the route runs outdoors, with meadows and paths between the buildings. Organised groups can book handicraft workshops and educational classes. The museum also makes a good starting point for trips around the Wdzydze lakes.
