The Skansen Archeologiczny „Karpacka Troja” was created in Trzcinica, north-west of Jasło in the Subcarpathian Voivodeship, on one of the most important archaeological sites in Poland. Excavations uncovered traces of settlement from the beginning of the Bronze Age and of an early medieval stronghold, which earned the place its comparison with Troy.
The visit begins in the exhibition pavilion with an introductory film, followed by display rooms recounting the everyday life of the former inhabitants. The outdoor part comprises an archaeological park with reconstructed huts, a livestock sector, the „Wały Królewskie” stronghold and a viewing platform.
Groups are admitted only with a guide, while individual visitors may explore on their own. Workshops and open-air events are held during the season, the largest being the Carpathian Archaeological Festival with craft demonstrations and re-enactments from the Bronze Age and the Middle Ages.
