ul. Armii Krajowej 13, Kołobrzeg
The Maritime Open-Air Museum in Kołobrzeg is an outdoor branch of the Polish Army Museum, devoted to the history of the Polish Navy. It stands on Armii Krajowej Street, close to the city centre and the port, and the visit takes place mainly in the open air, among vessels and armament.
The main exhibits are the vessels — ORP „Fala”, ORP „Władysławowo” and the yacht „Orkan II” — whose interiors are open to visitors. Among the most valuable relics are parts of the destroyer ORP „Burza”. The collection is completed by shipboard equipment: contact mines, torpedoes, a naval gun, a depth charge thrower and a rocket launcher.
It is a proposal for enthusiasts of militaria and maritime history, but also a good stop during a walk around Kołobrzeg — the site is small and seeing all of it takes about an hour. Among the curiosities is a fragment of a wooden boat hull from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
