Kwiatkówek 26 A, Wieś Kwiatkówek
The Łęczycka Zagroda Chłopska open-air museum lies in Kwiatkówek, a few kilometres from Łęczyca and right next to the Romanesque collegiate church in Tum. It is an intimate outdoor museum gathering original rural buildings from the 19th and early 20th centuries, moved here from nearby villages and arranged as a typical farmstead.
The route leads through cottages, farm buildings and workshops with interiors recreated according to the old way of life. The historic bread oven and potters kiln draw particular attention. The rooms show the daily duties of the farmers, the rhythm of work set by the seasons and the tools used in the fields and around the yard.
Around the buildings grow plants, shrubs and trees once cultivated in the Łęczyca region, completing the picture of a village of a century ago. A visit combines most easily with the collegiate church in Tum and the royal castle in Łęczyca, as all three sites are a short drive apart.
