Museum of the Folk Culture of the Sudeten Foothills

The Skansen w Pstrążnej lies on the edge of Kudowa-Zdrój, close to the Czech border at the foot of the Stołowe Mountains in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. Seventeen historic wooden buildings have been gathered here, showing what village life in the Kłodzko Valley looked like from the early 18th to the early 20th century.

What to see

The cottages, farm buildings and workshops retain their old fittings: furniture, kitchen utensils, farming and craft tools. The layout of the homesteads reproduces the way a mountain village was farmed, and the interiors convey the modest reality of its inhabitants' daily life.

Events and surroundings

The museum hosts demonstrations of old crafts, including traditional bread baking, exhibitions of handicraft and folk events such as the „Róża Kłodzka” review of folk ensembles. The site makes a good stop while exploring Kudowa-Zdrój and the trails of the Stołowe Mountains.
