Huta Szklana 37, Wieś Huta Szklana
Osada Średniowieczna in Huta Szklana is an open-air reconstruction of an 11th- and 12th-century settlement, set at the foot of Łysa Góra in the heart of the Świętokrzyskie Mountains, on the route leading up to Święty Krzyż. The wooden cottages, farmsteads and workshops were rebuilt on the basis of archaeological findings, so the whole forms a coherent picture of an early medieval farming village.
The site includes the houses of the first farmers, a smithy, a pottery workshop, a beekeeper's homestead and a woodworking shop. A visit is not limited to looking at exhibits — craft demonstrations show how tools, vessels and bread were made. A separate thread are the Świętokrzyskie legends of witches and Łysa Góra, retold by the guides.
This is above all a place for families with children. Weaving, pottery, herbalism, shoemaking and blacksmithing workshops are held here, along with papermaking and historical cooking classes. For the youngest, animators run games and settlement play.
