The Piast Route in miniature

Skansen Miniatur Szlaku Piastowskiego lies in Pobiedziska east of Poznań, on the road linking Poznań with Gniezno. In an open-air setting it gathers several dozen models of Greater Poland's monuments built at a scale of 1:20 — precise enough to show the detail of facades, roofs and towers.

What to see

Among the 37 objects are the cathedrals of Poznań and Gniezno, the market squares of Poznań and Pobiedziska, the palaces of Rogalin, Czerniejewo and Lubostroń, the monastery church in Lubiń and the palatium on Ostrów Lednicki. The models stand along a path that visitors follow at their own pace, comparing buildings from different periods. Wooden figures from Slavic mythology complete the display.

Who it suits

The park works well as a stop for families travelling the Piast Route. The greatest fun is the archaeological sandpit, where miniature fragments of a monument are hidden to be dug out. The ground is flat and the paths are paved.
