Toys from two centuries

The Toy Museum in Karpacz grew out of a collection donated by Henryk Tomaszewski, founder of the Wrocław Pantomime Theatre. It stands on Kolejowa Street in the lower part of town and is one of very few collections of its kind in Poland.

What to see

The display covers some two hundred years of toys, from eighteenth-century pieces to contemporary ones. The shelves hold dolls from Mexico, Japan and Australia, model cars, train sets, building-block constructions and figures of characters known from children's bedtime cartoons.

Who it suits

This is a place for families: children look at the toys, adults return to their own childhood. The visit is short, so it fits easily into a day in Karpacz — before setting off for Śnieżka, or when the weather discourages the mountains.

  • Ticket office at the entrance
  • Toilets for visitors
  • Paid car parks nearby
  • Souvenir shop
Visit duration: approx. 1 hour Seasonality: Year-round
