Krosno's glass tradition

Krosno has been associated with glassmaking for decades, and the Glass Heritage Centre tells that story in underground interiors in the middle of town. The exhibition shows where the local tradition came from and how products from Krosno reached markets around the world.

What to see

Visitors see a collection of artistic and utility glass, including designs of recognisable brands and works by leading Polish designers. The strongest point is the demonstration at the furnace — shaping and blowing glass live, with commentary from a glassmaker.

Who it suits

The centre runs workshops where you can try working with glass yourself, which works well with children. The attraction is independent of the weather and makes a convenient stop on a route into the Beskid Niski and along the oil heritage trail from Bóbrka.
