Mickiewicza 13, Bolesławiec
The Museum of Ceramics in Bolesławiec documents several centuries of the town's pottery tradition, whose vessels with their distinctive stamped pattern are recognised worldwide today. The seat on Mickiewicza Street gathers utility and artistic ceramics from the workshops and factories of Bolesławiec.
The collections are divided into sections: Bolesławiec ceramics before and after 1945, a lapidarium and foreign ceramics. Alongside brown-glazed stoneware and stamp-decorated vessels, artistic works are shown, and the permanent displays are supplemented by temporary exhibitions on the art and history of the town.
The museum runs museum classes, pottery workshops and guided walks around the town, so a visit combines well with a stroll through the old town. An outdoor installation stands in front of the building, and decorated ceramics can be bought in the museum shop.
