Szydłowiecka 30, Radom
Muzeum Wsi Radomskiej is a spacious open-air museum set in the valley of the Mleczna river, within the administrative limits of Radom. It gathers several dozen examples of old wooden rural, manorial and church architecture from the Radom region, placed among meadows and stands of trees.
The oldest structure is the relocated church of St Dorothy from Wolanów, dating from the mid-18th century. Around it stand cottages, farm buildings and craft workshops with period equipment. A separate part is devoted to traditional forest beekeeping, and goats and sheep are kept in some of the farmsteads.
A nature trail with boardwalks over wetlands runs across the grounds, and there is an exhibition pavilion and a viewing tower. Through the year the museum holds outdoor events recalling old farm work, among them the Bread Festival and the Potato Festival, with workshops for visitors.
