The Home Army Museum named after General Emil Fieldorf 'Nil' operates in Kraków, on Wita Stwosza Street, in a former military building in the Grzegórzki district. It is the only institution in Poland devoted entirely to the history of the Polish Underground State and its armed forces.
The narrative starts with the Second Polish Republic and the September Campaign, then leads through conspiracy, intelligence, sabotage and armed struggle. The exhibits include documents, weapons and soldiers' equipment, mementoes from prisoner-of-war camps, items from the death pits in Katyń and a reconstruction of a Vickers tank.
The museum runs museum lessons and workshops matched to the participants' age, with educational games and activities. The visit takes place indoors, the building is adapted for pushchairs, and the location near the centre makes it easy to combine with a walk around Cracow.
