Centre of Dairy Tradition

Muzeum Mleka in Grajewo is the first institution in Poland devoted entirely to milk and its processing. It was created in a town regarded as one of the capitals of Polish dairying, in Podlasie, where cattle farming has set the rhythm of the local economy for generations.

The visitor route

The exhibition leads through successive zones: the Meadow, with interactive screens hidden inside cow figures, a section on history, a reconstruction of old milking methods, the Milk Road from barn to shop, a laboratory and a milk bar furnished in communist-era style.

Who it suits

The multimedia form and screens visitors operate themselves make the museum popular with children. Adults usually enjoy most the part on milk bars and on everyday uses of milk, including in cosmetics and medicine.
