A rocket range among the dunes

The Rocket Launch Site Museum lies in Rąbka on the edge of Łeba, next to the Słowiński National Park. During the Second World War a German experimental range operated here, where anti-aircraft rockets were tested. Bunkers and elements of the former research infrastructure have survived to this day.

What to see

The surviving bunker houses an exhibition of photographs, plans of the range and documents describing its history. The larger exhibits stand outdoors: a launch crater, armoured glass from bunker windows, a military motorcycle, parts of weapons and of meteorological rocket launchers. There is also an observation tower open to visitors.

The surroundings

The museum is a natural stop on a walk or bike ride from Łeba towards the shifting dunes; the route continues on to the Łącka Dune. A large part of the display is in the open air, so the visit depends on the weather, and the ground is sandy.
