A gateway to the Stołowe Mountains

The Eco-Centre operates in Kudowa-Zdrój and is run by the Stołowe Mountains National Park. It is the place to begin exploring the range: the display explains the geological past of these table mountains, their nature and the tourist appeal of this part of the Sudetes.

What to see

The exhibition is built on multimedia: interactive stations, projections and applications through which children learn by playing while adults can go into detail. It shows how the sandstone slabs and rock labyrinths typical of the park were formed, which plant and animal species live here and how they are protected. School and organised groups can book guided tours, museum lessons and nature workshops.

Good to know

Until 2013 the same site housed the Frog Museum, with a collection of everyday objects featuring that amphibian. A visit takes about an hour and works well as a plan for a rainy day in the Kłodzko Valley, before setting out into the mountains or after returning from the trail.
