Piracka Przygoda is an interactive educational and entertainment programme in Kołobrzeg, run on the grounds of a 19th-century fort. The historic walls and the seaside setting form a natural stage for activities about sailing and sea tales, in which participants take on the role of a pirate crew.
The sessions are led by guides and the scenario is matched to the age of the group. The programme includes fencing lessons, carpentry contests, learning sea shanties and mooring ships, and a sea baptism, during which water safety rules are explained. Longer versions end with a bonfire.
The place is designed mainly for children and teenagers, but adults join the fun as well, so it works as part of a holiday programme for families staying on the Baltic coast. A single visit usually lasts about forty minutes.
