A Lublin village a century ago

The Regional Museum in Wojciechów presents the material culture and customs of the Lublin countryside of the 1920s. The building repeats the form of a traditional Wojciechów cottage, and the interiors are arranged to recreate the daily life of farms of that time.

What is on display

Visitors see household equipment, furniture and farming tools, along with an archaeological section holding finds from local excavations: medieval stove tiles, fragments of vessels, a half-groschen from Świdnica and a book clasp. The display is completed by objects linked to local folklore and traditional dress.

Folk Art Gallery

Next to the museum works the Folk Art Gallery, offering the work of craftsmen from the area, where you can buy a souvenir, a horseshoe for luck or mint a commemorative coin. Wojciechów is known for its blacksmithing traditions, which shape the programme of local events.
