A military technology park in Dąbrowa Górnicza

The Reduta Military History Park is an open-air display of military hardware arranged on the grounds of the Sztygarka Municipal Museum in Dąbrowa Górnicza. The heavy exhibits stand in open space, so they can be viewed up close and at leisure.

What to see

The collection consists of vehicles, artillery and engineering equipment from various periods, complemented by a steam hammer from 1919 that came from the Bankowa Ironworks. Most of the machines were saved from being melted down at the Katowice steelworks by military enthusiasts who recovered and restored them.

Good to know

A visit is best combined with the exhibitions of the Sztygarka Museum, which includes an underground training mine. The ground is flat and paved, accessible for wheelchairs, and the layout of the paths allows the whole display to be walked in under an hour. Entry to the park is free.
