Podgórska 1, Dobczyce
The Dobczyce open-air museum belongs to the Władysław Kowalski Regional PTTK Museum and occupies part of the castle hill above the Dobczyce Reservoir. The neighbouring castle ruins and the view over the water link the ethnographic visit with a broad panorama of the area. The site forms a small but coherent reconstruction of a former Lesser Poland village.
Relocated and rebuilt structures stand on the grounds: an inn, a smithy, a dwelling house and pieces of small architecture, including a stone pillar shrine. The interiors are filled with mementoes of people from the surrounding villages — household goods, costumes and craft tools. Under open shelters stand farm machines and old means of transport, from carts to horse-drawn equipment.
The museum runs workshops introducing former farm work and crafts, aimed mainly at groups and families with children. The grounds are fenced and visited along a marked route, with the entrance from Podgórska Street. Reaching it involves a climb up the hill, so comfortable footwear is advisable.
