Exploseum in Bydgoszcz is a tourist route arranged in the remains of the German DAG Fabrik Bromberg plant, built in the forest on the edge of the city. During the Second World War it produced, among other things, TNT, nitroglycerine and smokeless powder. The site is run by the Leon Wyczółkowski District Museum.
Eight buildings connected by underground tunnels are open to visitors — only a fraction of the whole complex scattered across the former factory grounds. The bare concrete halls, corridors and camouflaged architecture are impressive in themselves; they are complemented by exhibitions on production technology, forced labour and the fate of the factory.
Among the exhibits are the so-called explonaty recovered during excavation work: laboratory vessels, tool tokens and pieces of equipment. The tour lasts about two hours and leads through tunnels and stairs, so comfortable shoes and warmer clothing are advisable.
