The Andrzej Podżorski Beskid Museum stands in the centre of Wisła, in a brick building raised at the end of the 18th century as an inn. Its collections are devoted to the highlanders of the Silesian Beskids: their farming, rituals, costumes and daily life.
The core of the display is an exhibition on shepherding culture: life in a mountain hut, sheep grazing and cheese making, with original vessels such as gielaty and putyry. It is complemented by costumes, household tools and mementoes documenting the town's history.
Next to the museum lies the Wooden Architecture Enclave with a reconstructed smithy, a labourer's cottage, an apiary and a shepherd's hut. The museum runs lessons for children and youth, workshops, temporary exhibitions and events presenting Silesian highlander culture.
