Reymonta 22, Wieś Lipce Reymontowskie
The Museum of the Armed Struggle is located in Lipce Reymontowskie in the Skierniewice district, a village known from the novels of Władysław Reymont. It collects mementoes of soldiers connected with the area: from the fight for independence in 1914–1921, from the Second World War, from the 26th Skierniewice Infantry Division and from the post-war Polish People's Army.
The display occupies two rooms. Alongside weapons, uniforms and field gear there are soldiers' personal belongings — these tell the stories of individual people most powerfully. Among the more valuable items are an officer's commission signed by Marshal Piłsudski, the list of donors for a ceremonial sabre for Edward Rydz-Śmigły, and coins of military cooperatives minted in nearby Skierniewice.
A Bofors anti-tank gun stands in front of the building. Inside, complete sets of equipment from various periods are gathered: bayonets for Mauser and Lebel rifles, helmets, gas masks, cartridge pouches, an officer's sabre model 1921/22 and a Maxim model 08 machine gun.
