Kamianna 17, Wieś Kamianna
The Beekeeping Museum operates in Kamianna, a small village in the Beskid Niski mountains known across Poland for its beekeeping traditions. It is not only an exhibition but also a working apiary that runs training for beekeepers and educational classes. The visit is guided, with a guide talking about the history of forest beekeeping and about modern bee breeding.
The collection shows how beekeeping developed in Poland over the centuries: hives hollowed out in tree trunks, old beehives, mills and equipment used to harvest honey. You can look into the apiary workshops and watch beekeepers at work, and also see a gallery of headwear and one devoted to Saint Ambrose, the patron saint of beekeepers.
Next to the museum there is an apiary café serving honey bakes, mulled mead and traditional meads, while the shop sells products from the museum's own apiary. The visit combines easily with a walk along the quiet ridges of the Beskid Niski or a trip to nearby Krynica-Zdrój.
