A ski jumping champion's collection in Wisła

The Adam Małysz Sports Trophies Gallery in Wisła gathers the cups, medals and statuettes won by Poland's most decorated ski jumper in domestic and international competition. The collection impresses by sheer scale — the awards fill display case after display case and together form a review of the athlete's entire career.

What to see

Beside the trophies there are personal mementoes: skis, jumping suits, helmets and bibs from various events. The display also shows how ski jumping equipment changed over the years. The visit is short, taking around half an hour, and there is a souvenir shop next to the gallery.

Surroundings

Wisła is the capital of Polish ski jumping — the Adam Małysz hill on Malinka rises nearby, and the town makes a good base for trips into the Silesian Beskids, to Barania Góra and Stożek. The gallery is indoors, so it is a sensible idea for a rainy afternoon.
