Rynek 23, Wieś Lanckorona
The Antoni Krajewski Museum occupies a wooden house on the market square in Lanckorona, in Wadowice County. The building is one of the few that survived the fire of 1868, which makes it a rare example of the old small-town timber architecture of this part of Małopolska.
The house probably belonged to a wealthy merchant. The rooms hold everyday objects from the 19th and 20th centuries: kitchen vessels, tools for field and garden work, and implements for spinning, weaving, washing and ironing. In the bedroom look for embroidered cushions, a linen chest, a Gdańsk wardrobe and a chest of drawers, as well as the decorated Lanckorona folk costume.
The museum also shows finds from the ruins of the castle in Lanckorona and a model of the market square as it looked before the 1868 fire. A separate section is the Bar Confederation memorial room with copies of documents, maps and biographies. A small shop with folk crafts operates on site.
