Wola Libertowska 132, Wieś Wola Libertowska
Muzeum Krzyży i Kapliczek lies in Wola Libertowska, north-east of Olkusz in the Silesian Voivodeship, on the edge of the Cracow-Częstochowa Upland. The collection is housed in a private manor designed by its owner, the sculptor and graphic artist Antoni Toborowicz.
The core of the display consists of wayside crosses, shrines and religious sculptures — forms typical of the Jura landscape, here gathered in one place. Alongside them the owner shows his own work, including woodcuts, so a visit combines a museum tour with a look into an artist's studio.
The hosts run educational classes devoted to nature, herbs, cheesemaking and the cultural heritage of the region, which makes the place an interesting stop for families. Around it stretches the rural Jura with limestone outcrops and a dense network of walking and cycling trails.
