A museum of the history of Police

Muzeum Historyczne SKARB operates in Police and collects mementoes linked with the town and its residents. The display consists of everyday objects, documents, photographs and militaria, divided into several thematic sections that lead through the 20th century. The collection is dense, so it is worth planning the visit without haste.

What to see

The strongest thread concerns the synthetic petrol plant that operated in Police during the Second World War, together with mementoes of the prisoners of the camps that existed here. A separate section shows the development of technology: radios, television sets, telephones, office equipment and computers that have already passed into history.

Who it suits

The militaria collection — bladed weapons, firearms and armour, uniforms and military equipment — attracts collectors and history enthusiasts. The exhibition is housed indoors, which makes it a good stop in bad weather on the way to the Szczecin Lagoon or to Szczecin.
