A painted farmstead in Zalipie

The Grzegorz Trójniak Educational Farmstead lies in Zalipie in the Dąbrowa district, a village known across Poland for cottages decorated with floral paintings. The farm combines a small museum of old rural life with a working studio of Zalipie folk decoration.

What to see

The cottage holds the furnishings of a country house from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries: kitchen utensils, furniture, sewing machines, farm tools and everyday objects. A separate attraction is the Nativity scene built by the owner, open all year round and covered with floral motifs in the local style.

Workshops and crafts

Educational sessions on site show old work in the fields and in the kitchen: kneading dough for blachora flatbread, lighting the bread oven and baking. Handicrafts are also on sale. It is worth combining the visit with a walk around Zalipie, where painted houses, shrines and wells stand along the village roads.

  • Parking by the farmstead
  • Exhibition in the old cottage
  • Workshops and group activities
  • Local handicrafts on sale
Visit duration: approx. 1 hour Seasonality: Open all year
