Muzeum 6D - Maszoperia operates on Rodziewiczówny Street in Kołobrzeg, not far from the seaside part of town. It tells the story of the maszopi, fishermen organised in the old Baltic fishing companies.
Instead of classic display cases there are 3D paintings, special glasses and sound, light and even scent effects that recreate the atmosphere of the old port. Legends and tales are woven together with the realities of the fishing trade, and the exhibits may be touched and examined up close.
This is above all a place for families with children: the youngest take the role of a ship's captain, turn the helm and ring the cutter bell. The visit takes about an hour and works well on a rainy day at the seaside, when the beach and the pier are out of the question.
