Nature museum in the Lutosławski manor

The Museum of Nature in Drozdowo occupies the historic Lutosławski family manor house near Łomża, surrounded by a three-hectare park. The estate lies within the Łomża Landscape Park of the Narew Valley, which makes it a natural starting point for exploring the valley.

What to see

The displays present the plant cover, birds and mammals of the Narew and Biebrza valleys, including an exhibition devoted to the elk — the symbol of the Biebrza marshes — and the herbal secrets of the valley's medicinal plants. The manor drawing room tells the story of the landed gentry of the Łomża region and of the Lutosławski family. An extensive aquarium display presenting underwater life on five continents rounds out the collection.

Who it suits

The museum runs museum lessons, nature workshops and field classes, and offers campfire meetings to organised groups. The park around the manor invites a walk before heading on towards the Biebrza National Park.
