Żwirowa 2c, Gdynia
The Gdynia Automotive Museum is a small private collection of historic cars and motorcycles on Żwirowa Street in Gdynia. The vehicles are accompanied by archive documents, old road maps and photographs from pre-war rallies.
Among the exhibits are a Ford Model T – the first mass-produced car – and the American saloons Buick Deluxe and Buick Master Six. The motorcycle highlight is the military Harley-Davidson WLA 42. Every vehicle on display is in working order and ready to drive, which sets the collection apart from a purely static exhibition.
The interior recreates a cobbled Tricity street of the 1920s: original signboards, façades, doors and windows come from demolished tenement houses. A café on site lets visitors leaf through old motoring documents. A visit takes about an hour.
