A settlement rebuilt as it stood a thousand years ago

The Slavic Settlement in Sławutowo is an open-air archaeological park in Pomerania, on the edge of the Darżlubie Forest, between Puck and the Tricity. It recreates a Slavic village from the turn of the 9th and 10th centuries — timber huts and their working outbuildings.

What to see

The tour focuses on the everyday life of early medieval Pomeranians: what the inside of a hut looked like, how a home was heated, how food was stored. Craft workshops stand separately — those of the baker, weaver, herbalist and blacksmith — fitted with tools reconstructed after historical models.

Who will enjoy it

The site is built around living history lessons, so families with children get the most out of it. On offer are pottery and weaving workshops, flatbread baking, felt and leather crafts, games drawing on old customs, and sifting sand in search of amber. The settlement also hosts feasts, picnics and group events.
