The Jan Kasprowicz Museum operates in Inowrocław on Solankowa Street, in the imposing Burgher Palace close to the spa park. Its patron was born in Szymborze, today a district of the town, so the location was no accident. The collections deal above all with the poet, his era, and the Kujawy region and its inhabitants.
The main display follows Kasprowicz's biography, from his Kujawy childhood to the years spent in Zakopane. Visitors can see manuscripts, first editions with the author's autographs, family photographs, everyday objects and portraits of the poet. A second room is devoted to Stanisław Przybyszewski, also born in Kujawy, with furniture, a grand piano and personal mementoes.
A separate exhibition presents the art of the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, the times of both writers. There is also the gallery of the Trzciński family, a collection of town views and glass paperweights, and museum lessons for groups of all ages.
