Góra Kamieńsk Resort

Huby Ruszczyńskie, Kamieńsk

  • Active Leisure
  • Ski Slopes

A slope on a mining spoil heap

The Góra Kamieńsk resort was built on the external spoil heap of the Bełchatów lignite mine, near Kamieńsk in the Łódź region. The artificial hill towers over the flat surroundings and is one of the few places in central Poland where you can ski.

Runs and lifts

Three ski runs and a toboggan track are available, and visitors are carried uphill by a chairlift, a platter lift and a conveyor belt. The slope is floodlit, so skiing is possible after dark as well, which makes short trips after work easy.

Who it suits

The resort runs a well-stocked ski and snowboard rental together with a servicing workshop. The Biwak ski school operated by OSiR Góra Kamieńsk teaches beginners and helps more advanced skiers refine their technique. It is a convenient option for a one-day outing without travelling to the mountains.
