Istebna Zaolzie 1628, Wieś Istebna
Złoty Groń lies in Istebna, in the hamlet of Zaolzie, on the slopes of the Silesian Beskids near the point where the Polish, Czech and Slovak borders meet. The local microclimate and the aspect of the slopes mean the ski season here tends to be longer than in neighbouring resorts, running from November to April. The pistes offer views of the surrounding Beskid ridges.
The resort offers six runs of varying difficulty, numbered 1 to 5 plus section 1a. Skiers are carried up by a detachable chairlift, the „Gronik” T-bar lift and a conveyor belt serving the tubing track. There is also a training run with electronic timing. The slopes are floodlit, which allows skiing after dark.
A ski and snowboard school and an equipment rental operate on site, so the resort works well as a base for beginners. Children have a separate zone with a carousel and a conveyor lift. Four eateries are spread across different parts of the station.
