The Gubałówka ski resort occupies the summit area of the hill rising above Zakopane from the north. A funicular railway with its lower station right at the end of Krupówki street carries visitors to the top, which makes the resort easy to reach even without a car.
The Górna Polana run of about 300 metres operates here, along with a Snow Park for freestyle riders. Two snowtubing tracks have been prepared by the lower and upper funicular stations, appealing to children and adults alike. In the evenings the area is lit up by the Kraina Światła illuminations.
A wide panorama of the Tatras and Zakopane opens up from the summit, and the Tarasy Gubałówka restaurant stands by the viewpoint. In the warmer half of the year a gravity slide and a hilltop beach are open, so the place draws visitors well outside the ski season.
