A ski complex in the Karkonosze

Ski Arena Szrenica is the largest ski resort in Szklarska Poręba, spread across the northern slopes of Szrenica in the Karkonosze Mountains. The runs lead from a summit above 1,300 metres down towards the town, and the altitude and northern exposure mean the ski season here usually lasts a long time.

Runs and lifts

Beginners ski the gentler Hala Szrenicka and Puchatek pistes, while more experienced visitors can choose the harder Śnieżynka and Lolobrygida runs and the most demanding FIS piste. Cable cars Szrenica I and Szrenica II and the Karkonosz Express carry skiers to the top, supported by several drag lifts. Floodlit evening skiing runs on Puchatek.

Beyond winter

In summer the lifts take visitors up towards the main Karkonosze ridge, from where hiking paths branch out — among others towards the Śnieżne Kotły cirques and the Kamieńczyk waterfall — as well as cycling routes. Bars, restaurants and pubs operate by the slopes and at the lower station. Szklarska Poręba has plenty of accommodation for a longer stay.

  • Car parks at the lower stations
  • Ticket offices, rental and equipment service
  • Bars and restaurants by the pistes
  • Ski school
Visit duration: approx. 3 hours Seasonality: Open all year; ski season usually from December to April
