Ski Góra Żar is a ski station on the top of Góra Żar in Międzybrodzie Żywieckie, in the Little Beskids. The summit is occupied by the upper reservoir of the Porąbka-Żar pumped-storage power plant, so the top station offers views both of the artificial lake on the ridge and of the Soła valley and the ranges of the Żywiec Beskids.
Skiers have three runs at their disposal: two blue ones, 300 and 600 metres long, and a red one of 1600 metres. A funicular railway carries visitors to the top, supported by two T-bar lifts. The lower station houses a ski and snowboard rental, a service workshop and a ski school running classes for beginners and children.
Outside winter Góra Żar is just as busy. You can tour the pumped-storage power plant, ride downhill trails of varying difficulty and use the rope park and the children's play zone. Bikes can be rented on site, and the panorama of the Żywiec Beskids is best enjoyed from the restaurant by the top station.
